CMIPD paid a collaborative visit to Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital in Ibadan to explore a formal partnership and capacity-building work that could improve healthcare delivery within the facility.
Formalising the partnership
Before the visit, a letter of intent was submitted to the Office of the Commissioner for Health at the Oyo State Ministry of Health, with copies sent to the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics. This established a clear route for engagement with the hospital’s leadership.
During the meeting, AMTH’s management welcomed the proposed collaboration and agreed to develop a comprehensive needs assessment across its departments. The assessment is intended to identify the areas where CMIPD’s professional expertise and resources can have the greatest practical value.
Participation in the National Cervical Screening Project
AMTH is an active participant in CMIPD’s National Cervical Screening Project. The initiative supports early detection and prevention of cervical cancer and is designed to improve health outcomes for women.
Looking ahead
The collaboration marks another step towards strengthening maternal and general healthcare services. CMIPD will continue working with institutional partners to improve patient care, professional training and sustainable service development.
