Collaborative Visit to Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital (AMTH), Ibadan
CMIPD paid a collaborative visit to Adeoyo Maternity Teaching Hospital (AMTH), Ibadan, to explore opportunities for partnership and capacity-building initiatives. A formal meeting was held with the hospital management to discuss key areas of collaboration that would improve healthcare service delivery within the facility.
Formalizing the Partnership
Ahead of the visit, a letter of intent was submitted to the Office of the Commissioner for Health at the Oyo State Ministry of Health, with copies sent to the Director of the Department of Planning, Research, and Statistics. This proactive step set the stage for structured engagement with the hospital leadership.
During the meeting, AMTH’s management welcomed the collaboration and agreed to develop a comprehensive needs assessment from each department. This assessment will help identify critical areas where CMIPD’s expertise and resources can provide the most impact.
Participation in the National Cervical Screening Project
As part of its commitment to women’s health and cancer prevention, AMTH is actively participating in CMIPD’s ongoing National Cervical Screening Project. This initiative aims to improve early detection and prevention of cervical cancer, ensuring better health outcomes for women.
Looking Ahead
The collaboration between CMIPD and AMTH marks another significant step towards enhancing maternal and general healthcare services. By fostering strong institutional partnerships, CMIPD continues to drive innovative healthcare solutions that improve patient care and professional training.
